The collection consists of family correspondence, photographs, business and military records of the Jarretts and other families, and research reports and materials generated by the Georgia Historical Commission/Historic Preservation Section, Department of Natural Resources, in the operation of Traveler's Rest as an historic site. The collection contains information on the following families: Adams, Lipscomb, Lucas, Martin, Ramsay, Walton, White, and Wyly.
