Scope and Contents From the Series:

This portion of the Goff Collection consists of prints of approximately 600 subjects, photographed by Dr. Goff while on his many field trips over the Southeast. Most of the prints are of Georgia subjects, with some of Alabama, and a few of other adjoining states. Prints are arranged by print number with an index card file showing the location of each subject. Card file is arranged alphabetically by subject.

Scope and Contents This file contains a collection of manuscript notes for over 700 forts in Georgia and a few from surrounding states. It was started by Dr. Goff and completed by the staff of the Georgia Archives. The fort file is a bibliography of source material on Georgia forts, from early Colonial times to circa 1860. They are, for the most part, typescripts from Dr. Goff's original notes. This file usually contains the name of the ferry, approximate location, and a date of operation.
