The major duty of the County Commission is to give general supervision to the business activities of the county government. The bound volumes comprising this series provide documentation of such activities for the inclusive date span listed. They include the receipts and disbursements the Commission was involved in during this time period. Some of these disbursements were for paying jurors and other jury costs, road and bridge work and for paying salaries of county and city employees.
