Scope and Contents
This series contains statewide water quality management plans, bound monitoring reports and investigations and field and laboratory data sheets from water quality studies instituted in both the major river basins and coastal waters of Georgia. The Water Quality Support Program (not to be confused with several other offices of similar name) was established solely to conduct tests and publish the results on the biological, chemical and bacteriological properties of waters in the following major river basins: (1) Altamaha (2) Chattahoochee (3) Coosa (4) Flint (5) Ochlocknee (6) Ocmulgee (Upper and Lower) (7) Oconee (8) Ogeechee (9) St. Mary's (10) Satilla (11) Savannah and (12) Tennessee. This series contains records of the former RGSGSERIES 26-7-88, Water Quality Data and Technical Reports Files, 1966 - 1974.

These reports and accompanying support papers are arranged chronologically by time span of several years or by year, then alphabetically by name of river basin, then alphabetically by specific stream within each basin and then chronologically by date of report. The reports on coastal waters are filed after those on the river basins.
