Scope and Contents
This series contains (1) instructions from the director of the Department of Human Resources district offices, (2) correspondence relating to coordinating department responsibilities and activities state-wide, (3) correspondence to and from federal and state legislators, (4) reports of training conferences, (5) county annual progress reports, and (6) minutes of district council meetings. These files document all administrative duties of this office which has changed its name several times over the years. Circa 1972-1978, regional coordination responsibilities were held by the Office of State and Local Coordinator (see Sub-Group 9 of this record group). In 1981, these responsibilities were assumed by the Office of District Programs, and later by the Office of Intercommunity Governmental Relations, The Human Development Division, established in 1982, was charged with these and other responsibilities, including Title XX Administration. (See also Sub-Group 7 of this record group, Title XX Administration.)
