This series is a continuation of Series 57 under Record Group 26. It contains the post-1972 Medical Facilities Project Construction Files which contain all documents relating to the construction projects under the provisions of the Hill-Burton Act. The blueprints and plans are listed first followed by the other papers in the series. The former are arranged by project number but are not consecutive as some projects are still active and therefore are retained in the Unit offices.

Please Note: Due to the sensitive nature of these records, patron must submit a written request for these records one week before viewing documents. Individuals or organizations desiring access to such records shall submit a written request. Requests from agencies or from individuals associated with institutions or organizations (such as schools, colleges, or historical societies) must be submitted on the organization’s letterhead. Each written request must include the following: a. A written description of the records requested. b. The reason for requesting access to the records, including the nature of the proposed research or project. c. A notarized copy of a government-issued photo ID (such as a driver’s license). 4. All written requests for access to architectural records should be mailed to Director, The Georgia Archives, 5800 Jonesboro Road, Morrow, GA, 30260.
