Scope and Contents
This series consists of the microfilmed reference copy of the Department of Archives and History's Research application files from 1965 to 1970. The application for research card provides identification data, personal references and nature and puropse of intended resaerch for card issued. The card, issued upon proof of proper identification, allows a patron entrance to the Main Resaerch Library, Surveyor General Department and Cartographic Section, Civil War section and microfilm library. The card is issued by the Central Research Section Which has the responsibility of insuring that visitors, researchers and guests entering the department sign the registration logs maintained in the office. This series contains the microfilmed cards from 1965 to 1976. After 1976, the cards were no longer microfilmed.
