This series contains the official minutes of the Georgia State Board of Health, some minutes of committees created by the Board and containing many members in common and the supporting papers attached to the minutes. Most of the minutes are signed by the secretary of president of the Board. Those created in the earlier part of the century are brief and usually have few if any supporting papers attached. Beginning in the late 1940's, however, the minutes usually have more supporting papers. These supporting papers consist of correspondence, exhibits,Beginning in the late 1940's, however, schedules, affidavits and other similar material. The file folder labels of all supporting papers in any considerable volume are indicated in the finding aid, but in the case of the early minutes, the supporting papers are usually included in the minutes folder.
