This series contains general correspondence from the public, memorandums, inter-office directives and office administrative reference files including accounting, property control, personnel and records management files. This series documents all phases of operation of the Game Management Section of the former Georgia Department of Game and Fish, incorporated in 1972 into the Department of Natural Resources. As may be ascertained by perusing the complete list of file folder labels below, many subjects in this series are duplicated in the Subject File of the Director of the Game and Fish Division, Sub-group 1, Series 4 in this record group. It cannot be presumed, however, that the two series duplicate each other in content. This series reflects greater emphasis on game management, merely one phase of the area of interest of the department, later division, commissioner, later director.
