This series is composed of a bound volume which contains lists of expenditures authorized by the Probate Judge of Baldwin County for which the County Treasurer was to issue payments. These lists document expenditures used mostly for county purposes. Examples of such expenditures are: (1) payments to paupers; (2) payments for jury fees; (3) Courthouse repairs; (4) bridge repairs, and (5) road repairs and purchases of wood and similar supplies for county buildings or paupers living on county expenses. Information presented in these volumes includes: (1) date of transaction; (2) name of recipient; (3) amount of payment, and (4) reason for payment.
