Scope and Contents
The law of August 10, 1921, entitled the "Use of Explosives Regulated", required all persons owning dynamite or other explosives to register with the ordinary of the county in which such person resided or did business. The records comprising this series consist of a bound volume which provides documentation of the purchase and use of explosives in Baldwin County for the dates listed. Information presented in this volume includes: (1) name of applicant, address and date of registration; (2) name of company or person explosives were purchased from, their address and amount and kind of explosives they owned; (3) date of purchase; (4) purpose for which purchased; (5) place of storage of explosives, and (6) remarks.
