This series contains documents relating to the investigations into the possible revocation of licenses for certain midwives accused or suspected of malpractice or other irregularities in the discharge of their duties. Also included are other documents concerning the history of midwifery in Georgia for the time period indicated. Types of records include (1) case history files for midwives who had licenses revoked, (2) investigation reports, (3) midwife research project reports, (4) statistics, (5) correspondence, (6) studies and (7) documents concerning midwife training programs.
