Included in these subject files are: (1) correspondence from private or government sources received (2) correspondence and forms documenting the Superintendent's by the Superintendent and his replies thereto actions on programs for in and out-patient care and medical, administrative and personnel services for patients and staff (3) memos and other policy statements not necessarily reflected in official minutes or publications (4) records reflecting the therapeutic, clinical training and research interests of the Mental Health Institute (5) documents reflecting manpower and training programs and decisions, (6) documents reflecting community program decisions (7) supporting papers documenting all of the Superintendent's areas of interest and responsibility. It is interesting to note on the folder label list below that very often a subject listing is followed by the name of the individual most closely connected with it or with whom the correspondence is conducted.
