Scope and Contents

The Division of School Health is part of Health Conservation Services and was organizationally in existence by 1951 and remained so until about the mid-1960’s. The function of the division was to cooperate with the State Department of Education to promote the health of school children from the ages of 6 to 21. These annual reports give an accounting of the various programs in which the division was engaged including vision, hearing and nutrition screening, environmental health, community participation, community participation, conferences with local college personnel, etc.
