Writ dockets contain legal orders issued by the court commanding the person to whom they are directed to perform or refrain from performing a specified act. The bound volumes in this series document the issuance of these orders and contain other additional information including: (1) names of plaintiffs and defendants; (2) the term of court in which each case was held; (3) issues involved in case, and (4) disposition of case. The cases presented are all of a civil nature and usually involve collection of debts and other property matters.
