Transportation - Information Office - Dot Dashes and Georgia Highway Folks on the Go
Scope and Contents
This monthly or bi-monthly publication contains human interest articles on Department of Transportation personnel. DOT Dashes was instituted in April 1972 and followed the same format as its predecessor which was apparently begun some time in 1970. Each transportation district office has its own reporter who collects personal news items on that district's employees such as births, deaths, marriages, retirements, honors, etc., and sends them on to the Atlanta information office where they are published. This series is closely related to Series 37, The Georgia Translator, and it is important to note that during some years DOT Dashes was incorporated as a feature of The Georgia Translator. See the finding aid for specifics.
