This series is composed of Gilmer County grand jury presentments to the citizens of the county concerning the conditions of Gilmer County public business. These presentments include: recommendations concerning specific public improvements, the conditions of public buildings, the financial conditions of public offices, the specific tax to be raised for specific county purposes and specific improvements of business practices that the county officials should make. The grand juries also appoint some county officials such as notaries public.
