Public Service Commission - Hearing Reporter - Public Hearing Verbatim Transcripts
Scope and Contents
This series consists of verbatim transcripts of applicants and Protestants in public hearings before the Public Service Commission in one of the following forms: (1) audio recorded discs, (2) transcriptions from audio recorded discs and (3) audio tape cassettes. These transcriptions are one of the four elements in the Public Hearing Records Files. They give all the testimony presented to and by the Public Service Commission on its public hearings. The records contain both a file number and docket number and are indexed by Series 27, Public Hearing Records Files (Hearing Docket Books). The docket numbers contain a single letter "M", "R" or "U" which signify the utility the dockets represent. "M" stands for Motor Carrier, "R" for Railroad and "U" for Utility. In order to effectively use the Public Hearing Record Files, please see also Series 26, Public Records Files (Minute Book Files), Series 27, Public Hearing Records Files (Hearing Docket Books) and Series 28, Public Hearing Records Files (Minute Order Books), all of this sub group.
