Scope and Contents

This series consists of bills of indictment, interrogatories, subpoenas of witnesses and similar court records. Most of these case files are of civil cases and usually involve property disputes. The few criminal cases in this series were included for reasons of convenience. Most civil and criminal case files involving Gilmer County are included in series 1, 2 and 11 within the jurisdiction of the superior court, subgroup 1.
