This series consists of bound volumes of minutes which document some of the civil and criminal complaints filed in the court for the inclusive date span listed and other official county matters. Information presented in these volumes includes: (1) date and term of court; (2) names of parties in action; (3) a brief description of the charge complained of; (4) disposition of case; (5) names of jurors (not always given); (6) presentments of Grand Juries, and (7) appointments of Land Processioners, Road Commissioners and other County Officials for the purpose of conducting county business. The complaints charged in civil cases usually involved debts and other property matters and those made in criminal cases included simple larceny, carrying concealed weapons, and assault and battery charges.
