Scope and Contents
This series contains bound and unbound records relating to the Emergency Relief Administration for Washington County which include, but are not limited to: Certificates for work relief, Reports of completed work, Correspondence, Project forms, Budget sheets, Applications for work projects, W.P.A. pamphlets, Project work schedules, Procedure handbooks, Foreman's daily reports, and Weekly project reports. Although the majority of these records were created by the Georgia Emergency Relief Administration, there are also files from the Federal Emergency Relief Administration, Works Progress Administration, Civil Works Administration and National Youth Administration. It should be understood that these papers relate to the relief work done only in Washington County.
