Clayton County - Superior Court - Cash Books (Accounts Payable and Receiveable)
Scope and Contents
Cash books document the amount of money the payer spends, to whom and when spend and, possibly, for what purpose the transaction was made. Simultaneously it records the amount the payer receives, from whom, date of receipt and the purpose of the transaction. This series is composed of bound volumes which document such transactions by the Clerk of Court for the inclusive dates listed. Information presented in these volumes includes (1) the name of the recipient of payment, (2) an enumeration of the amount involved, (3) specifications for the purpose of the transaction (only that of 1949 - 1950 listed), and (4) date of payment.
