This series contains newsletters, correspondence, newspaper articles and completed questionnaires mailed to the varlous local historical societies In Georgla and returned by them in an effort on the part of the Historic Preservation Sectlon to obtain information about each society and its activities. The section needs to be acquainted with the activities of all local historical societies in the state in order to avoid duplication of effort and conflicts between the various local societies and the agencies of the Department of Natural Resources as well.
