This series consists of bound volumes which document the criminal complaints filed in this court for the inclusive dates listed below. Information presented in these volumes includes (1) Georgia Militia District number in which the court was located, (2) case number (often not given), (3) names of attorneys (often not given), (4) name of defendant, (5) name of person who issued warrant and date of issue, (6) type of charge complained of, (7) judgement rendered, (8) an enumeration of court costs and (9) name of prosecutor. Entries are arranged and listed in chronological order by date set for trial (generally) and by case number. Most volumes contain an index in which the defendants are listed in alphabetical order by the initial letter of their surname. Some of the charges complained of included those of passing worthless checks, drunk and disorderly conduct and assault and battery.
