This series is composed of bound volumes which document some of the money disbursed by the County Treasurer for the inclusive dates listed below. Information presented in these volumes includes the (1) name of County Treasurer, (2) name of payee (to whom paid), (3) amount of money involved in the transaction, (4) date of disbursement and (5) reason for payment. Some of the purposes for which the Treasurer disbursed money was (1) to pay salaries of county officers, (2) to pay for care of paupers, lunatics, etc., (3) to pay per diem expenses of jurors and election officials, (4) to repair bridges, roads and public buildings, and (5) to pay for incidental expenses.
