Scope and Contents
The superior courts are the state's highest ranking trial courts with original and general jurisdiction. The first state constitution (1777) established a superior court in each county of Georgia. A docket is a list or calendar of matters acted on by a court. This series contains these dockets which cover the following types of court actions: (1) appearance index; (2) motion; (3) subpoena; (4) court cases and jury; (5) grand and traverse jury; (6) bar; (7) appeals; (8) fi fa; (9) execution, and (10) slave imports.
