These subject files are closely related to those of other acting agency chiefs. They contain: correspondence; memorandums; reports; lists; fiscal records; research data; publications; insurance coverage data; and personnel data. Despite the series title, these records deal with virtually every phase of the Historical Commission's field of endeavor. Of particular interest are the lists of historical markers erected throughÂÂout the State by the Commission, correspondence with various prominent government officials and private citizens, and correspondence and other records concerning various historic sites and institutions throughout Georgia and beyond.
