University System - State College of Agriculture - Circulars
Scope and Contents
The Act of July 21, 1906 appropriated one hundred thousand dollars for the purpose of establishing the State College of Agriculture and Mechanic Arts at the University of Georgia as a college independent of the University. Later the name of the college was changed to that of Georgia State College of Agriculture. The Act of August 28, 1931 merged the college into the University of Georgia as the College of Agriculture. One of the duties of the staff of the college was to prepare and publish bulletins and circulars which featured short articles relating to the production, distribution and preservation of agricultural products. See R.G. 33-3-170 for the bulletins featuring related material the college also published at about the same period.
