Scope and Contents
This series consists of reports containing studies of (1) maps, (2) regional settings, (3) geology and hydrology, (4) civic resources, (5) city histories, (6) topography, (7) land use patterns, (8) economic bases, (9) population trends, (10) community services, (11) utilities, (12) transportation patterns, (13) schools, libraries, parks and playgrounds, (14) administrative set ups and (15) environmental hazards and nuisances. The studies concern the redevelopment and rehabilitation possibilities within all the major blighted areas of the City of Atlanta, with the regional studies of the Upper Chattahoochee Valley and the designs of two new towns in connection with the building of Buford Dam and the detailed survey of land-use and population trends in various small Georgia towns. The studies are undertaken by fourth year students of architecture within their course in Urban Design at Georgia Tech.
