This promotional literature of Georgia College at Milledgeville and its predecessor institutions is of three major types. The first type is usually referred to throughout the nation as catalogs. These relatively lengthy publications are published monthly and contain calendars of events, lists of faculty members, general information, requirements for admission and degrees, lists of courses offered, general rules and regulations of the college and student registers for the year covered. The second type, also entitled bulletins, are very varied in format but usually include much information included in the catalogs, but do not include the lists of courses offered. They are usually illustrated and are also published monthly. The third type is publications of divisions or departments of the college. These publications provide much of the information furnished by those in the second type confined, of course, only to the division addressed. All three types of bulletins bear volume and issue numbers which apparently correspond to the year 1937 in all three types of bulletin.
