Scope and Contents
One of the chief responsibilities of the Georgia Department of Agriculture is to conduct hearings on complaints lodged against industries engaged in food or beverage preparation, processing or distribution in Georgia and elsewhere. Usually included are: the official hearing record; the order based on findings of the hearing; the Commissioner's ruling on objections, if any; and correspondence with the companies or individuals involved If the case is carried to court, the briefs are also included.
