Scope and Contents
These published annual reports contain an account of the area commissions' activities during the previous fiscal year. These reports concentrate on the activities of the Area commission's staff rather than those of the county and municipal commissions within its jurisdiction. The quantity of the information contained in these reports varies widely from commission to commission. Most of the reports are very brief and contain very little information. The better quality of the reports contains information of the commissions activities in some, if not all, of the following: (1) Organization and Objectives; (2) Economic Research and Planning; (3) Physical Planning; (4) Human Resource Utilization; (5) Coordination Services; (6) Advisory Services; (7) Educational Services; (8) Opportunities for Progress; (9) Planning economic development of local attractions, ex. Water, Tourism, etc., and (10) Budget for following fiscal year. There are also a few county and municipal reports included in this series. These local reports are listed within the area commission reports, of which it is a member.
