This series contains unbound original miscellaneous records of the Superior Court of Oglethorpe County. Included in the records (not an inclusive list) are: (1) Fi Fas and orders to revive and give control of Fi Fas (2) grand jury presentments (3) indictments (4) coroner's requests (5) executions (6) copies of decisions from the Supreme Court. On the back of most cases is the book and page where the files were recorded although no effort has been made to compare the completeness of this file with the recorded copies in the Clerk's Office of the Supreme Court. There is no consistency found in the type of records in this series. Also, this series has records that can be found in RGSGSERIES 209-1-8. While some effort has been made to flatten, clean and arrange these records, for the most part they are in still in general decay, folded and bundled just as they were when taken from the courthouse. The records are generally undated so that no real time span can be ascertained although the records do cover the very late 1700's to the late 1800's.
