This series contains original bound and unbound papers involving, but not limited to: (1) registered voters lists (2) civil cases (3) criminal cases (4) warrants (5) convict registers (6) census records (7) special taxes (8) estate records (9) indictments (10) grand jury presentments (11) bills of cost (12) Morgan County School Board (13) ex-Confederate soldiers and (14) actions on common law. Although some of these records rightfully belong in already existing sub-groups, a special sub-group was created due to the fact that most of these records are minuscule in number or are filed regardless of office or origin. All the papers are parts of other matters and in some cases are merely fragments or estrays. The county offices included in this sub-group are: Superior Court, Court of Ordinary, Justice Court, County Court, Sheriff's Office and Tax Collector.
