This series consists of: (1) correspondence, memoranda and directives between State Coastal Plains Regional Commission (CPRC) officials and the Governor, State and federal officials and representatives; (2) minutes, agenda and related papers of CPRC meetings (CPRC Governors, Commission, alternates, task force, etc.); (3) annual investment plans and the Coastal Plains Regional Commission Development Plan; (4) project packages, and (5) related materials. These files relate to all areas of responsibility of the Coastal Plains Regional Commission program. More specifically, a sample of the files includes: (1) draft regulations for regulating commissions, (2) federal management circulars establishing administrative requests on grants and agreements with state and local governments, (3) charter and by-laws of the Coastal Plains Regional Commission (4) copies of House Bills governing certain public works and development administrations, (5) federal legislation concerning regional commission programs, and (6) a synopsis of the Georgia State Investment Plan. The Coastal Plains Regional Commission program administers and coordinates federal grants for projects in the Coastal Plains Region of Georgia, monitors the projects' progress and works with regional-federal agents to implement and review the grants.
