Scope and Contents
The purpose of the Agency is to help stimulate economic development in economically depressed areas. In an effort to fulfill this purpose the agency approves loans to small businessmen and local governmental agencies. The material included in these folders are the following: (1) Applications from businesses or local government agencies for loans, approved under the Public Works and Economic Development Act of 1965; (2) Statements from principle stockholders or local governmental agencies describing need for loan, and proposed use of loan for expansion of plant facilities; (3) List of principle stockholders (business loans), their addresses and amounts of stock each owns; (4) List of lending institutions, and amount each loaned to applicant to supplement E.D.A. loan; (5) Economic feasibility studies for justification of loan (6) Description of company's business operations, its potential customers, market, proposed number of new employees; and (7) Copy of charter, bylaws, balance sheet, etc.
