Heritage Trust Advisory Commission - Commissioner - Reports
Scope and Contents
This series contains a number of different types of published reports prepared by the Georgia Heritage Trust. The majority of these reports consists of preliminary and other numbered phase reports prepared at the inception of the agency and on each succeeding year thereafter. These reports list the various sites in Georgia which were recommended for special preservation attention, including purchase by the State, by the trust's Technical Task Force. Priorities for action are established and then re-established in each of the succeeding phase reports. Among other general topics addressed in the reports are: (1) Definitions of terms (2) Cost matrixes (3) Methodologies used in determining priorities (4) Long term monetary needs (5) The Heritage Trust Act (6) Areas for study including methods of raising badly needed funds (7) Policy statements. Also included are other reports which do not fit into the numbered phase report scheme but which were published simultaneously with them. Included are periodic long-term reports submitted to the federal government and annual reports similar to those published by many state agencies.
