This series contains the bulletins and/or catalogs of the Georgia District Agricultural and Mechanical schools. Apparently the terms were used interchangeably and some volumes bear both simultaneously. Though the format and content varies considerably from volume to volume and from school to school, there are basic similarities among them. A typical volume picked at random might include: (1) names of members of the board of trustees (2) school's annual calendar (3) names of the members of the faculty (4) a prose narrative including the institution's history, purpose, property and equipment, apparel and dormitory furnishings (5) directions for fashioning girl's uniforms (6) student activities (7) scholarships and prizes (8) expenses (9) course of study and (10) lists of students by class. The volumes are usually illustrated with campus views and group pictures of students. The pages average from thirty to fifty in number.
