The files are arranged by time period, then by institution and then by title of project and project number. There is no alphabetical or numerical arrangement whatsoever either for the institutions or the projects, so one must study the project listing in the finding aid to find a specific file.

The date ranges assigned to each box may be based on start and end dates of various files, just start dates, or just end dates.

Additionally, projects will be filed under the name the school used at that time. For example, Clayton State University has projects filed under Clayton Junior College and Clayton State College.
