Georgia Ports Authority - Public Relations - Georgia Anchorage (Publication)
Scope and Contents
This series contains copies of the official publication of the Georgia Ports Authority: the Georgia AnchorAge. The magazine is about the regular business of the Ports Authority, which is the operation, development and expansion of the port facilities. There are articles on imports, exports, new lines docking at State facilities, expansion of existing facilities, development of new facilities and conventions connected with the shipping industry. In the back of each issue there are two regular features, Schedule of Sailings and Directory of Port Services. The first lists ships docking and sailing, their agent/owner, their destinations and their arrival/departure dates. The second is a guide to businesses allied with shipping such as steamship agents, stevedores, foreign freight forwarders, custom house brokers and others. Over the years the magazine has been published at differing intervals, usually monthly or bimonthly. Not all issues for all years are included.
