Arrangement Note
The files are arranged in several mystifying batches. The first sequence is arranged in alphabetical order by subject, as it should be, but unfortunately only fills the first five boxes of the series. Next are filed memorandums to and from the Commissioner of the Department of Natural Resources an correspondence files (apparently of a general nature) arranged by first letter of the surname of correspondent. Next come some miscellaneous files with no arrangement whatsoever. Included in this group are monthly files (with no year indicated), miscellaneous correspondence files, publications and miscellaneous subject files not in alphabetical order. There are two sets of monthly files and a second set of correspondence files in this batch. It is most important, therefore, to check the finding aid carefully.
