BASICS, Bar Association Support to Improve Correctional Services, is a program run by the Georgia State Bar to orient felons to employment, offering business counseling to those who choose to become business entrepreneurs upon release. It was developed when the state bar was given a grant by the American Bar Association to do something about prisoner economic problems.
