Biographical / Historical
The son of William Capers and Virginia Felder Guerry, Albert was a well-known and respected portrait artist of South Carolina, later of Atlanta, Georgia, and Baltimore, Maryland. Portraits painted by Guerry include Robert E. Lee, Grover Cleveland, Joseph E. Brown, and other public officials and private citizens.
