Biographical / Historical
Albert was born in Hapeville, GA, to Thomas J. and Fannie (Mary Frances) Shaw Cash. He worked on his father's farm before enlisted in the armed services for World War I, when he served in Company E 428 Telegraph Battalion until his discharge. Later, he worked as a welder, completed a Civilian Conservation Corps stint in the early 1940s, and worked in the Auxiliary Military Police during World War II. Albert married Catherine Blalock in 1919. He died February 19, 1960 and is buried at Jones Memorial Cemetery in Forest Park, Clayton County, Georgia.
