The Boy's High School was founded in 1872, and was one of the first public schools in the city of Atlanta. In 1924 the school was re-located to Charles Allen Drive on 10th Street, having been held in several locations before this time. The school provided education to white males exclusively until 1947, when the school merged with Girls High and Tech High Schools, forming the Henry W. Grady High School. The school was integrated in 1961. The school's name was changed in 2021 to Midtown High School.
