Biographical / Historical

Founded in 1921, Soroptimist is an international organization for business and professional women who provide volunteer service to their communities. The name, Soroptimist, means "best for women." Soroptimist members belong to local clubs, which determine the focus of service to their communities. The Atlanta club was founded in 1947 and is now known as Soroptimist International of Atlanta. The Atlanta club was disbanded in 2018.
