Biographical / Historical
Frances A. Lantznester (b. ca. 1820), a mechanic, was born in France and settled in Stewart County, Georgia, where he married Elmira M. Sharp in 1848. In 1866, their daughter, Florence Virginia married Edward Mark Sheram (b. ca. 1837), a carriage trimmer, in Lumpkin, Georgia, the village where both lived. Edward was the son of George and Frances Sheram of Monroe County, Georgia, and rose to be a second lieutenant during service in the Civil War.
