Biographical / Historical

Thaddeus Brockett Rice (known as T.B. Rice), was born in Prattville, Alabama, to Julia R. Williamson and William Thorton Rice. He worked as a pharmacist, serving as president of the Georgia Pharmaceutical Association in 1910, and also as district manager for AT&T in Greenesboro, Georgia, from 1898 until 1930. A leader in local civic affairs, Rice served as alderman for several terms and was elected mayor of Greenesboro. He was also a frequent contributor to the Greenesboro HERALD JOURNAL and he was the official historian of Greene County, Georgia.
