Women's Overseas Service League (WOSL) is a national organization of women who have served overseas in or with the Armed Forces. American women who had served overseas with the military forces during World War I founded WOSL in 1921. However, the Atlanta Unit, the first in the nation, was organized in 1919. A group of women in the city agreed to channel their enthusiasm into productive projects as well as help each other adjust to their lives following the war. The unit no longer exists.
