Biographical / Historical

Littleton Madison Otwell was born to Malinda Bond and William M. Otwell in Gwinnett County, Georgia, but later moved to Roswell, then in Cobb County, Georgia, where he married Hester A. Sampler about 1855. Otwell enlisted in the 56th Regiment Georgia Volunteers on May 10, 1862. He lived to surrender at Greensboro, North Carolina on April 26, 1865.
